Simona Polypropylene (PP) is the most widely used material for chemical-technical applications. Compared to PE, it displays greater rigidity particularly in the upper service temperature range (up to +100°C). Its key characteristics also include excellent chemical resistance, good long-term properties when exposed to various substances and high stress crack resistance.

There are two types of polypropylene: homopolymers (PP-H) and copolymers (PP-C). PP-H consists entirely of a combination of propylene monomers and covers a service temperature range from 0°C to +100°C. PP-C features a chemical combination of propylene monomers and ethylene monomers, which increases the material's impact strength at low temperatures. PP-C covers a service temperature range from –20°C to +80°C and is less rigid than PP-H. SIMONA offers best-in-class products of the highest possible quality in both categories – for applications that demand maximum safety and reliability.

In the form of the SIMODUAL² double-containment piping system, SIMONA has developed an innovative comprehensive system with integrated fixing points for industrial pipeline construction. The focus is on a standardised product solution to meet maximum safety standards without any elaborate or expensive one-off designs.

To ensure maximum safety, SIMODUAL² piping systems are made up of an inner media pipe and an outer containment pipe. Production uses quality-assured individual components that are subjected to external monitoring.

In addition to PP-H AlphaPlus®, PE 100 is also used in this area. Instead of simple spray protection the piping system features a continuous, monitorable and pressure-resistant leak retention compartment. This means the pressure-resistant double-containment piping system SIMODUAL² provides maximum safety - even in the event of an accident.

Pexal® is composed of multilayer pipes and different types of fittings that are chosen according to the installation technique adopted. There are various applications: from the distribution of hot and cold drinking water to centralised water supply systems, from radiator and fan heating systems to radiant floor, wall and ceiling heating and cooling systems, from compressed air systems to industrial plants.

HDPE is a fusion welded system made up of pipes, fittings and accessories, suitable for all installation types, destined to waste and rainwater drainage under EN1519.

HDPE is the ideal solution for installations above ground, thanks to its resistance to UV light; and below ground or embedded in concrete, thanks to its exceptional mechanical characteristics.
